The last time I had been to Stanley Park I was about 4 which is too long to remember so this time through Vancouver we decided to stop. It was a sunny, warm day, and we’d just hopped off the ferry from the Island. Josh and I have seen a lot of animals in our travels but never a racoon. So we were excited to see them (all four) shuffling along the path! They couldn’t have cared less about us. The view from the lookout on the bridge side was well worth the stop. We did a little walk through the forest to third beach, although our parking expired so we didn’t make it all the way down. We were also happy to note that palm trees CAN grow in this country! The climate in Vancouver and on the Island was definitely an improvement from home, but maybe still not quite warm enough for us.
