Phew! What’s next?

We spent the first week in Barbados cramming as much surfing in as our bodies could handle. I probably speak for all of us when I describe the progression through each day. Starting with exhaustion and self doubt, in the first couple days, then a return of confidence along with muscle fatigue around midweek. Finally by day 5 or 6 our bodies expected the challenge and craved more action. the bruises, cuts, and memories of being pummeled a mere reminder of enjoyment rather than the need to take a break. But then the week ended, and so did the swell. We sent the youngest member of the surf trio back to reality, while Josh and I moved locations for a renewed and refocused angle of exploring Barbados: the tourist sights, the beaches, and the relaxing by the pool!
